Our friendly Country Homestay provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Motueka and Nelson region of New Zealand. Enjoy country-style home-cooked meals, homemade breads, preserves and homegrown produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, free range eggs and many more local favourites that will satisfy even the heartiest of appetites.

Guest rooms and the private garden chalet are furnished in cottage style and each includes a private en suite. Every room has a wonderful view of the surrounding gardens. Afternoon tea with homemade cookies awaits your arrival. Complimentary tea /coffee always available. Doone Cottage only provides lodging for up to six house guests so you can be sure of friendly personal service. Laundry facilities are available.

A chuckling stream runs through the property, backed by magnificent mountain scenery. Just a hefty stone's throw away flows the Motueka River, famous for its brown trout, along with numerous other excellent Nelson trout fishing rivers.

Glen spins wool from her own Suffolk Cross sheep and in her Weaving Studio/Shop you will be able to see how this has been transformed into the finished garment, sweaters, blankets, wallhangings, floor rugs and much more.
